Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison is reportedly "very keen" to join Leeds United permanently in the summer.

The winger is currently on his second consecutive season-long loan at the club and has been a key player for the Whites this season.

Harrison has made 35 appearances during the 2019/20 campaign and has grabbed five goals and six assists.

Leeds are understood to have an option to buy Harrison in the summer and The Athletic has reported that a deal for the 23-year-old will cost them in the region of £8 million.

It is thought that Marcelo Bielsa will push for the club to activate that clause if the Whites are promoted to the Premier League this season.

It appears that would be a move that pleases all parties as, according to Football Insider, the player is very keen on joining the Yorkshire club permanently.

The report claims that a source close to Harrison has revealed that he loves life at Elland Road and has told friends he wants the loan deal to be turned permanent.

Harrison signed a new contract with Manchester City prior to his latest loan deal and is tied to the club until 2022.

The Verdict

This will likely be music to the ears of fans of the Yorkshire club as it shows that Harrison is enjoying his football at Elland Road and wants to become a permanent Leeds player.

The winger has been a key player for Bielsa's side this season and you feel he is set to be an important figure in the run-in.

It's difficult to see an eventuality in which Leeds don't sign Harrison permanently if they're promoted.

I wouldn't bet against them completing the deal if they're unable to get up to the Premier League this year either.
