West Bromwich Albion could be eyeing a deal for Romaine Sawyers, with Darren Moore a fan of the Brentford forward.

According to the Mirror’s live transfer blog (11/06, 10:27), Moore is getting to work this summer, as he chases West Brom’s first deals of the transfer window.

A move for Sawyers could well be on the cards, with Moore a big fan of the Brentford forward.

Sawyers has been with Brentford since the summer of 2016, with the 26-year-old making 85 appearances in the Championship.

42 of those appearances came last season in the Championship, with Sawyers returning four goals for Dean Smith’s side.

The forward coincidently came through the youth system at West Brom, but failed to make a senior appearance for the Baggies, with the majority of his development coming out on-loan in the lower leagues.

Sawyers could be set for a West Brom return if Moore makes a move for the 26-year-old, who he rates highly.

West Brom’s planning for the summer is taking shape, with a deal for Bobby Reid also edging closer.

The Baggies are in advanced negotiations with Bristol City over the 25-year-old.

The Verdict

Moore’s admiration of Sawyers could mean he is a transfer target for West Brom this summer.

It has taken some time for the Baggies to get to work in the window, but things appear to be starting to take shape at the Hawthorns.

Reid’s arrival seems close, and with Moore seemingly casting an eye over others, deals could start happening quickly.
