Hull City’s resolve over the future of Jarrod Bowen could be tested if they are offered £12m this summer.

According to a report in the Hull Daily Mail, it could take up to £12m to get Hull to consider selling Bowen, despite the Tigers’ insistence so far this summer that the 21-year-old wouldn’t be sold.

However, the same report suggests that should Hull be tested with a bid around the £12m mark, they could well consider changing their stance over Bowen.

So far this summer, Everton have been strongly linked with a move for the winger, with The Sun reporting that Marco Silva was lining up a £12m bid to reunite himself with Bowen.

However, despite those reports, it isn’t believed that Hull have received a firm offer for the winger’s service.

Last season, Bowen impressed at the KCOM Stadium, making 44 appearances across all competitions, returning 15 goals and a further assist.

42 of those appearances came in the Championship, alongside 14 of Bowen’s goals, with the winger in superb form, as Nigel Adkins helped the Tigers avoid a serious relegation battle.

An upturn in results under Adkins led Hull to 18th, eight points clear of the Championship’s bottom three.

The Verdict

Bowen was influential last season in the Championship, with his goalscoring form for Hull particularly impressive.

Of course, the midfielder will attract interest this summer, with Everton one side keen on the 21-year-old.

There is still plenty of the summer transfer window remaining, and if a firm bid goes Hull’s way, it’ll be interesting to see if their stance changes.
