Aston Villa have not yet received any official bids for midfielder Jack Grealish, according to The Birmingham Mail.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have both strongly been linked with a move as speculation over Grealish's future continues.

The 22-year-old could be sold this summer amid a major financial crisis at Aston Villa, which is likely to force them into selling their key assets.

The Villans are likely to sell Grealish to the highest bidder but clubs are yet to firm up their interest with concrete offers.

Grealish is considered to be one of the best young players in the English game after lighting up Villa Park with some special displays.

The England under-21 international netted three goals and picked up six assists for Villa last season.

Although he does not want to leave his boyhood club, the local lad is a top target for a host of Premier League sides and Aston Villa need to raise some cash from his sale.

They are still awaiting the first official bid, though.

The Verdict

Grealish is a top talent and Aston Villa would be desperate to keep him if they were not in such a financial state.

His sale seems necessary to the success of the club and he will be sorely missed.

But it is surprising no one has tried to take advantage of Aston Villa's financial woes and tabled a bid for him yet.
