Wolverhampton Wanderers could let seven players go this summer, according to a report by The Express and Star.

With Wolves hoping to tie up deals for Willy Boly and Ruben Neves, their arrivals could be offset by a number of departures this summer.

Seven players are at risk of being axed by Nuno Espirito Santo as he looks to revamp his Wolves squad.

Among them is the impressive Matt Doherty.

The Irish defender plays as a right-back or as a left-back and has been one of Wolves' best players over the past two seasons.

Club captain Danny Batth could also be axed.

The long-serving 26-year-old plays at centre-back but has come under-fire recently for some of his performances.

As well as Doherty and Batth, first-team duo Lee Evans (midfielder) and Joe Mason (striker) could also be on their way out.

Meanwhile, Jack Price and Andy Lonergan have already been told that they are free to leave this summer.

Jack Price is likely to be pushed down the pecking order in the central-midfield region while Andy Lonergan failed to impress when called upon in goal last year.

In addition, defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell is expected to complete a permanent switch to Sheffield United after a successful loan spell with the Blades last season.

Wolves currently have a squad of 29 and Nuno Espirito Santo wants to trim that down before adding more players.
