Leeds United are poised to complete the signing of talented young Polish player Mateusz Bogusz from third division side Ruch Chorzów.

The 17-year-old is extremely highly-rated in his home country and has played for the Poland national team in the younger age groups, including the U19s now.

And, his club revealed on their Twitter account this morning that the teenager is set to join the Championship leaders after an offer had been submitted.

Bogusz has made a real impact for his side and is key goal threat and creative influence for the side, with the youngster known for his ability on the ball.

As well as that, he is capable of playing in a variety of midfield positions, whether that is as a deep-playmaker or as a number ten.

Despite his age, Bogusz, who isn't 18 until August, will still be hoping to make an impact in and around the first-team this season, with Marcelo Bielsa known to give youngsters a chance.

However, the reality is he would start off playing with the U23s and is the latest example of the Whites searching for exciting talent they have brought into their development squads.

The Verdict

This looks like a very exciting deal for Leeds as Bogusz is highly-rated and looks like he has real potential.

The fact the club sent out that tweet suggests a deal is imminent and Leeds will want it finalised as soon as possible now.

Then, it's down to the player. He may need time to settle into a new style of play and different environment but he could go on to be an impressive purchase for Leeds.
