Nottingham Forest are looking to make some serious waves in this summer's transfer market with Aitor Karanka in charge.

As soon as the Spaniard arrived, hope grew that a promotion challenge could be on the cards and it would seem as though the club is making every effort to sign the players need to help that happen next year.

Michael Dawson has already arrived and others seem close but the Reds won't be stopping there if they can have their way with things.

Indeed, according to the Nottingham Post, Lewis Grabban is one of their top targets this summer with the striker hitting 20-goals last season during spells at both Sunderland and Aston Villa.

The Reds started to struggle for goals towards the end of the last campaign - suggesting new options are needed for next season - and signing Grabban would surely help provide the solution to that.

The Verdict

Exciting times are clearly on the way to the City Ground.

The Reds have seen hope spring up before in recent years but this time around it looks a bit different. They are being very ambitious and if they can get the likes of Grabban to arrive who knows where they'll end up next May.
