Leeds United’s goalkeeping troubles have been well documented in recent weeks, with Andy Lonergan replacing Felix Wiedwald as Thomas Christiansen’s first choice goalkeeper in early October, after the German 'keeper’s performances were widely criticised.

A change in goalkeeper has not stopped Leeds’ slide down the Sky Bet Championship table, with Lonergan making two crucial mistakes in last night’s 3-1 defeat to Brentford, which was Leeds’ seventh loss in nine Championship fixtures.

Lonergan dropped a hanging cross early in the first-half last night, which allowed Neal Maupay to head Brentford into the lead, before the goalkeeper failed to make a routine block to prevent Yoann Barbet’s free-kick putting the Bees back ahead after Ezgjan Alioski’s equaliser.

The 34-year-old’s place in Christiansen’s starting XI is now under threat, with sections of Leeds’ supporters extremely critical of the goalkeeper’s performance and calling for Wiedwald to return to the side.

Here is some reaction to Lonergan’s performance…
