It was a bittersweet night for one man connected with Stoke City despite last night’s FA Cup third-round replay loss against League One opposition.

Tyrese Campbell was making his first start for the Potters with new manager Nathan Jones entrusting the 19-year-old with the task of leading the line for the Championship side.

The son of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell did not look out of place during his first 72 minutes in the Stoke first team and paid back Jones’ faith.

The striker notched his first two goals for the club to give the Potters a commanding lead inside the first 36 minutes.

It was an impressive performance form the youngster who took his chance with both hands to impress.

But his goals would mean nothing come full-time thanks to a late collapse saw Shrewsbury score three goals in ten minutes to turn the tie around, and progress into the next round of the competition.

With that said, despite the disappointing result, here’s how the Stoke fans reacted on Twitter to the performance of the up-and-coming striker.
