West Bromwich Albion winger Bakary Sako could be set to make a return to former club Crystal Palace this month, according to reports from reliable journalist Alan Nixon.

The 30-year-old departed Selhurst Park in October on a free transfer, having started just 15 times in the Premier League for the Eagles, during a three-year stint with the London club.

But the Mali international has really failed to make an impact at The Hawthorns for Darren Moore's men, making a total of just six appearances in all competitions for the Baggies, making just two starts in the league.

But reports from Nixon suggest that just three months after letting him leave on a free transfer, Roy Hodgson's Palace are looking to bring the winger back to Selhurst Park.

Sako scored eight goals in 50 games for Palace, after joining the club from Albion's local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2015, however this transfer development is likely to surprise many West Brom fans, after failing to set the world alight in the second tier.

Moore's men currently sit 3rd in the Sky Bet Championship table, three points off the automatic promotion places after just one win in their last four league games.

The Verdict

Well this is very bizarre, Sako hasn't impressed at all for the Baggies since his arrival in October.

The winger was massively out of favour at Palace, hence his departure on a free transfer a few months ago.

Unless Wilfried Zaha leaves this month, I just don't see why they need him of all people...
