Football journalist Alan Nixon has taken to Twitter to reveal that AFC Wimbledon are pushing hard to get a deal done for Chelsea midfielder Luke McCormick this summer.
The update comes as the Dons appear to be closing on the signing of the 22-year-old who is also said to be of interest to Millwall.
McCormick enjoyed a very productive loan spell with Bristol Rovers last season in Sky Bet League One, notching up six goals and two assists as the Gas eventually succumbed to relegation.

He is seemingly surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge at present and currently has just one year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Quiz: Did each of these 20 midfielders ever score a goal for Millwall?
The youngster also previously had a loan spell with Shrewsbury Town and has been on the books of Chelsea’s academy system since the age of six.
He is yet to have made his senior debut for the newly crowned champions of Europe and appears set to leave in search of regular first team football.
McCormick is certainly the type of midfield player that Gary Rowett would be looking for this summer, as he can add goals to the team from that area of the pitch.
He is a young player who likes to make late runs into the box, meaning that he can quite often be given the time and space to find the back of the net, as seen with his recent spell at Bristol Rovers.
It is clear that Wimbledon are far more keen on the 22-year-old however, and Rowett will undoubtedly have turned his attentions to other targets.
A new striker is seemingly on the agenda, whilst the Lions are continuing to press ahead with their plans to sign Josh Windass from Sheffield Wednesday after seeing a couple of bids rejected already by the Yorkshire side.
