Reading have looked like a completely different team since Jose Gomes took charge of the first-team as Paul Clement's successor earlier this season.

The Reading boss signed a number of players on loan in the January transfer window, which have certainly made a positive impact on the squad.

Without them, the Royals would firmly be deep in a relegation fight with just four games remaining of their season.

One of the players that has been hugely impressive since signing on loan in January is Nelson Oliveira, who has scored some crucial goals to steer the Berkshire-based side clear of the bottom three.

The Madejski Stadium faithful will be hoping that Oliveira can make his stay in Reading a permanent one, which according to Get Reading's Jonathan Low, is a possibility.

Responding to a fans' question in a Q & A session, Low revealed that Reading and Norwich have agreed a fee for Oliveira which means that Reading have an option to make his loan move a permanent one.

"A price has already been agreed with Reading and Norwich.

"I imagine it’s around the £3m mark. The Canaries want to sell, Reading want to buy, he wants to leave so hopefully the deal won’t take too long."

Oliveira has looked like the striker that Reading have been missing for a number of seasons and he's seemingly keen to extend his stay with the Royals.

He posted on his Instagram recently, expressing his delight at their recent win over Brentford at the weekend.

The 27-year-old will be hoping to add to his goal tally when Reading are next in action, when they travel to play-off chasing, Bristol City on Good Friday.

The Verdict:

What a coup this could be.

Oliveira has looked impressive in his short spell with the Royals and he could play a starring role in firing them up the Championship table next season if he signed.

At £3m, it could prove to be one of the signings of the season.
