Leeds are set to confirm the signing of wonderkid, Mateusz Bogusz, despite there being logistical issues preventing Leeds from officially announcing the deal.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist, Phil Hay has revealed that the deal for the promising youngster has been completed and is waiting for the club to confirm the deal.

There would have been some supporters questioning why this deal hadn't been confirmed by the club, but Hay's announcement will put those doubtful minds at rest.

Bogusz is set to arrive with a considerable amount of first-team experience, despite still only being 17-years-old.

He has made 34 appearances in total for Polish side, Ruch Chorzow and has scored six goals in total.

The Polish club had previously revealed on their official Twitter page, that they had agreed a deal with Leeds for the promising midfielder.

With Leeds still without the likes of Izzy Brown and Patrick Bamford, Bogusz could be in line for more first-team opportunities than he first expected this season.

The youngster will be joining a Leeds side that are on course for a long-awaited return to the Premier League, with Marcelo Bielsa's side currently sat top of the Championship table heading into a crucial game against Norwich City this weekend.

The Verdict:

This is an encouraging update for Leeds.

I must admit that I'm surprised that this deal hasn't been confirmed by the club yet, but it's seemingly only going to be a matter of time before they do make an announcement.

Bogusz is an exciting young talent who could definitely feature in the near future, especially given the injury crisis at Leeds seems to be never-ending.
