Reliable journalist offers encouraging transfer update for Norwich fans

The potential transfer of Norwich City playmaker Alex Pritchard to Premier League outfit Huddersfield Town is “not going anywhere fast” according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Nixon cited two potential stumbling blocks for any deal for the England Under 21 star to make the jump up to the Premier League in the January window.

He doubts whether Huddersfield will pay the premium that comes with English players and David Wagner has already said that he will not pay over the odds for the player and he is conscious of the elevated prices for in the market for them.

He also is not sure whether Pritchard would play enough games at Huddersfield to justify paying out for the Norwich man.

This is all promising news for Norwich fans, who have watched their team struggle to the point that boss Daniel Farke’s job has come under threat.

The Verdict

This response from Nixon came as a surprise to me as I could see Pritchard starting for Huddersfield. He has all the talent and he is starting to find the consistency required after suffering with injuries over the last year.

He has a point about the English premium for players but money should not really be an issue for Huddersfield with their Premier League money.

Norwich fans – how important is Pritchard to your side? Would you sell him for the right price? Let us know in the comments below…
