Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks is once again being linked with a move to the Premier League, with respected journalist Alan Nixon commenting that Spurs are interested in signing the youngster.

Nixon gave the update in reply to a question on Twitter from a follower, who was asking if there was any truth in a story already doing the rounds about Brooks potentially being the subject of a £12m bid from elsewhere.

The update will no doubt come as a concern for Sheffield United fans, the majority of which are keen to see the club keep hold of their Welsh international star and build around him in the hope of winning promotion to the top flight next term.

Brooks only broke into the starting eleven last season, when manager Chris Wilder decided against sending the youngster out on loan to Chesterfield, a decision which paid dividends for the Blades over the course of the campaign.

An illness put paid to Brooks for much of the final months of the season, but he returned to the squad before the season ended, and is now once again attracting the attention of a host of Premier League clubs.

Blades fans, what do you think? How much is Brooks worth? Let us know your thoughts!
