Reliable journalist gives large Aston Villa transfer update, this will interest fans

Aston Villa will be aiming to continue their play-off challenge this weekend in the Championship as they take on Nottingham Forest in the evening game on Saturday.

The men from Villa Park are going along pretty well in the second tier at the moment and if they can maintain good form for the rest of the season they should seal a play-off berth.

Thinking of having a punt this weekend? Take a look at the coupons we’ve picked out on the Football FanCast Accy Show before you put your money down! First up, we’ve selected a Premier League goalscorer treble which offers terrific LeoVegas boosted odds. For those who like to spread the odds across the pyramid, we’ve also put together a very tempting fourfold of outright wins from the EFL. Check it out and be sure to let us know what you think!

However, last time out they came a cropper against Peterborough United in the FA Cup and so they’ll have a point to prove against a Forest side that is looking to win their first game under Aitor Karanka.

Whilst we wait for kick-off, though, journalist Gregg Evans has offered a transfer update that involves a fair amount of the Villa squad and should seriously pique the interest of the Villans’ support:

There’s plenty of potential action to come for the rest of the window for Villa fans with both exits and arrivals being hinted at.

With the likes of Tommy Elphick improving, though, some fans might be alarmed to see his name in particular attracting interest.

Elsewhere, though, they’ll be pleased to see that the club is looking at loan deals too.

The Verdict

Villa are really in need of a new striker and so it seems that is the plan still for this month.

Quite a few names are being linked with an exit too, though, and you’d imagine fans would at least like Tommy Elphick and James Bree to be given more time.
