Millwall currently occupy the final Championship relegation place in the table as the season nears the halfway point.

Neil Harris’ men are 22nd in the table and below the dotted line on goal difference, and could well be worried about their status in the second tier after recent developments.

The Lions have six key players out heading into Saturday’s clash with hull - four of those being the club’s recognised strikers while midfielder and occasional forward Aiden O’Brien is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, too.

It has been a month that has been harsh on Harris and his side with mounting injury worries, many of the club’s fans could be forgiven for fearing the worst.

Everything seems to be going against Millwall at present who are still without an away win all season and have scored own-goals in consecutive 1-1 draws; things look pretty ominous for Harris’ men.

You couldn’t blame the Lions’ fanbase if they felt relegation was inevitable, such has been their luck this term.

So, with that said, we asked our FLW team if, with mounting injury concerns, are Millwall destined to be relegated this season?

We discuss…

Alfie Burns

Relegation is a possibility, but I wouldn’t say it’s nailed on.

Of course, these injuries aren’t helping at all, but they will pass, and there’s going to be a huge January on the way.

For now, Harris needs to recreate a siege mentality that has served the club so well in the past.

Louie Chandler

Certainly not.

They certainly look set to be in the scrap, but there are five or six other teams not exactly covering themselves in glory.

January will be make-or-break in the relegation battle.

Jacob Potter

It'll certainly be a close call.

With a growing injury list, it will be a huge concern for Millwall supporters, but I think they could survive, by the skin of their teeth.

Not because they'll have the quality to survive, but because there are worse teams in the Championship this season with the likes of Ipswich, Rotherham and Reading all looking far worse than Millwall this year.

George Harbey

I can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel for Millwall, unfortunately.

When times are hard, you need leaders who can help grind out a result, and with no win in five games, the pressure is well and truly on Harris.

They don’t seem to have a goalscorer who can get them out of this mess either with Lee Gregory failing to find the scoresheet in five games, so times are hard for the Lions indeed.
