A host of first-team players could be set to depart Stoke City in the January transfer window, as Michael O'Neill looks to slash the club's £50m wage bill.

The Potters are reportedly under pressure to slash their wage bill in order to fit in with the EFL's new profitability rules, which state that clubs cannot breach losses of £39m over a three-year period.

As a result of this, the Telegraph claim that Badou N'Diaye is poised to become the first player to leave in January, as the club look to get his £35,000-a-week wages of the books.

Trabzonspor are believed to be closing in on a loan move for the 29-year-old, with a view to make the switch permanent in the summer.

As well as N'Diaye, it is claimed that Nick Powell, Bruno Martins Indi and Peter Etebo could also be set to leave the club - the former has made only three league starts since joining in the summer due to injury.
