After a solid showing from Lee Evans for Ipswich at the weekend in which is side bagged a 2-1 win over Fleetwood, Rekeem Harper has taken to Twitter to dub his teammate with the nickname 'Suffolk Pirlo.'

The midfielder helped his side wrap up the three points in their tie against the Cod Army in the 93rd minute thanks to a superb cross-field ball that eventually found its way to Bersant Celina, who put the ball in the back of the net to give his side the lead.

After such an incredible pass from the player, his teammate has now taken to social media to praise the pass and dubbed him the 'Suffolk Pirlo.'

Evans has been a key member of the Ipswich starting eleven this year and on Saturday he was at his best again, making more chances than any other player on the field. It's taken his tally to six goal contributions in just 13 games for the Tractor Boys so far this campaign and it shows the amount of influence he currently holds in helping decide games for his club.

Rekeem Harper himself has managed 11 league games so far this season but missed out in the game against Fleetwood at the weekend. It didn't stop the player from watching in awe as his teammate helped wrap the game up for the League One outfit though and he has now piled the praise on Evans for his impressive vision.

Both men will be hoping to continue their fine form - and keep their places in the team - as Paul Cook's men now try and mount a promotion push.

The Verdict

Lee Evans has certainly looked solid so far this season and it was his pass at the weekend that helped split open the Fleetwood defence and allow his side to bag the crucial winning goal. He's been dictating the play from midfield alongside Sam Morsy and he'll be hoping to keep it up as the season goes on.

If Evans can continue to replicate these kind of performances every week, then he could be one of the Tractor Boys most important players this season. It could also give Ipswich a big chance of finally clinching a promotion back into the Championship.
