West Bromwich Albion midfielder Rekeem Harper has

/B3DK3f6lOwO/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link">delivered a motivational message on social media after his lack of game-time at The Hawthorns this season.

The 19-year-old was a hugely important player for the Baggies last season, as Albion narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.

The homegrown midfielder made 23 appearances in all competitions under Darren Moore and Jimmy Shan last term, and was linked with moves to Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

But despite signing a new deal at The Hawthorns in the summer, Harper has since found it tough to break into Bilic's first-team plans, making only two appearances thus far this term.

He featured against Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the campaign and also played against Millwall in the Carabao Cup, with Bilic previously insisting that he will get his chance to impress this season.

The young midfielder has now took to Instagram to post a motivational message, captioned "trust the process", likely to be in regards to his lack of first-team action this season.

West Brom, after a 2-0 win at QPR on Saturday, sit top of the Championship table ahead of their trip to Elland Road tonight.

The Verdict

It speaks volumes of just how strong the West Brom midfield is if Harper can't get a game at the moment.

He was excellent last season under Moore and Shan, but the likes of Romaine Sawyers have really added competition to what is a very exciting midfield.

Harper needs to keep his head down and continue to work hard, and the first-team chances will soon come around quicker than he thinks.
