Speaking to Birmingham Cityâs official Twitter account, Harry Redknapp confirmed he is expecting the atmosphere inside St Andrewâs to give his players an âextra yardâ against Huddersfield Town tomorrow.
The Sky Bet Championship season is coming to an end in the next few weeks, with Redknappâs side still having plenty to play for at the bottom of the table.
Last weekendâs defeat to Aston Villa left the Blues two-points above Blackburn Rovers and the relegation zone, with two fixtures of the season remaining.
The Blues face a difficult task of picking up a victory this weekend, when promotion-chasing Huddersfield make the trip South.
However, Redknappâs side will be backed by a sold-out St Andrewâs crowd, something the 70-year old is expecting to encourage his side, he said: âThe atmosphere should give the players an extra yard.â
Birmingham are without a victory since February, but a triumph over Huddersfield tomorrow could see Redknappâs side survive- if Villa pick up a positive result against Blackburn.
Following tomorrowâs fixture, Birmingham face a trip to Bristol City on the final day of the season.
