Football League World's Cardiff City fan pundit Rhys Davies has voiced his opinion on Leandro Bacuna's performances for the club, since the Dutchman arrived from Reading last January.

The former Aston Villa utility man has played a part in 15 games for the Bluebirds this term, registering one goal and two assists in what has been an impressive start for the Groningen born player.

Bacuna's performances have really picked up at the Cardiff City Stadium following a rocky start to his career in south Wales in which he experienced relegation from the Premier League.

We caught up with Davies earlier this week to ask our Cardiff fan pundit for his thoughts on how the 28-year-old has performed this campaign, and here is what he had to say:

"I think Bacuna has had a good start for Cardiff City this season.

"Cardiff fans were unsure whether he could make the cut at the Cardiff City stadium, but recent performances have turned some heads.

"The versatile player can play as a central or defensive midfielder, as well as slotting into right back, thus providing Neil Harris with loads of options.

"Personally, with the dynamism and energy he brings to the team, I believe Bacuna is best suited to that central midfield position.

"His calmness on the ball and strong attitude make him a must to start every game."

The Cardiff fan then went on to discuss who he feels is best suited to partnering Bacuna in the Cardiff midfield:

"Harris deployed a central midfield partnership of Pack and Bacuna in the Bluebird's victory over Stoke, meaning Joe Ralls was vacated to the bench.

"Pack seems a certain starter for Cardiff as he is a solid and experienced player, and that leaves Harris with the choice of either pairing him with Bacuna or Ralls.

"At the moment I’d go for Bacuna, he has really stepped up his game since first moving down to south Wales."

Judging by our fan pundit's comments, it seems that Cardiff fans are finally starting to see the best of what Bacuna can offer his side, with the versatile Dutchman having really made his mark for the club this term.
