Even though Aston Villa picked up an important three points against Bolton last night, keeping a clean sheet in the process, it was a tough night for keeper Orjan Nyland.

The Norwegian keeper was signed in the summer to replace Sam Johnstone who had proven himself to be a top stopper at this level.

However, Nyland has found it tough to adjust and he seriously struggled from high balls against the Trotters last night.

The 28-year-old fumbled a relatively straightforward corner that almost gifted the visitors a goal, whilst he also mis-judged another long ball under no pressure.

That seemed to knock his confidence, with Nyland then reluctant to come off his line at times.

His display was one of few negatives on the night for Villa, who won for the second time in four games under Dean Smith and kept just their third clean sheet of the season.

Yet, the home support are still not convinced by their new number one.

Here's how some reacted to his performance on twitter...
