Wolves extended their lead over Aston Villa to ten points after a convincing victory over Reading combined with their rivals shock defeat to QPR.

However, there was some bad news for the Black Country side last night with star man Diogo Jota forced off with an injury after just 25 minutes.

The on-loan Atletico man was caught on the ankle and shared an image of the swelling on social media.

After the game, boss Nuno Espirito Santo admitted he was worried about the injury as losing Jota for the run-in would be a real blow for the leaders.

The 21-year old is Wolves’ top scorer this season with 13 goals in the league but brings a lot more to the team than just goals.

Although, one positive was how the side played after he went off, with Helder Costa in particular looking like the player of last season.

Either way, fans are hoping that Jota isn’t out for too long…
