Mark Bowen's Reading side will be hoping that they can build on some impressive recent showings when they return to action, after recent events called a half to the Championship fixture list.

The Royals have won their last two league matches, which has seen them move up to 14th in the second tier standings. The Berkshire-based side are just eight points adrift of the play-off places as well, which they'll be hoping they can force themselves into with nine games still remaining this season.

One player that has been in inspired form this term is Yakou Meite, with the forward scoring 12 goals and being on hand to provide one assist for his Reading team-mates in his 36 appearances in all competitions.

Speaking to the club's supporters in a Q&A for Reading's official Instagram page, Meite revealed that Tyler Blackett is one the best dressed player at the club, whilst admitting that himself and Lucas Joao are the best dancers.

Due to recent events, Reading's next game is set to be against play-off chasing Swansea City at the Madejski Stadium, although that scheduled return date could be pushed further back if the off-the-field crisis is to worsen in the coming weeks.

It's certainly an interesting insight for the Reading fans.

Meite has always going to back himself, as he's clearly a confident individual! In regards to the football, he's shown real improvement this season with Reading, and is the sort of player that can make things happen on his own at times.

If he can build on some of his recent performances in front of goal, then Reading could be in with a shout of challenging for the play-offs with nine games remaining in this year's campaign.

An eight-point gap to bridge certainly is achievable in the Championship, and Mark Bowen will be hoping that the likes of Meite can step up to the mark and perform to the highest standard possible as the season heads towards a conclusion.
