Championship strugglers Reading are yet to respond to a second and improved offer from Premier League Brighton for defender Liam Moore.

According to Sky Sports, the Berkshire club have received a second bid for their star defender, who was one of few standout performers last season in a dire campaign for the Royals.

The Seagulls and manager Chris Hughton want to add some new faces to their squad over the summer and see former Leicester defender Moore as the ideal sort of signing, following his standout campaign with the Royals and also his Premier League experience previously with the Foxes.

Reading are believed to have rejected a bid for Moore from Brighton already, but that does not seem to have put off Seagulls manager Hughton.

Moore, now 25, has made in excess of 80 appearances for Reading since making his move to them permanent from Leicester back in 2016. His form and consistency last season was one of few standouts for the Royals as they battled relegation right up until the final few days of the season.

He would surely relish a move back to the Premier League though, and with Brighton making further offers, it looks inevitable that Moore could well be on his way sooner, rather than later.

Reading fans, what do you think? Would you sell Moore? Let us know in the comments!
