Reading are interesting in taking Liverpool midfielder Sheyi Ojo on loan ahead of the new season, according to journalist Courtney Friday.

The winger has had five different loans throughout his time at the Reds and it appears as though he's set for another one with the Premier League champions not seeing him as a part of their plans ahead of the new campaign.

Still just 23-years-old, Ojo is looking to make it into the first-team at Liverpool although he found it hard to impress in his most recent loan spell when he played at Rangers under former Reds legend Steven Gerrard.

The Royals have a lack of wingers at the club at the moment, and Modou Barrow leaving to South Korea, it leaves them with just Yakou Meite as someone who can play naturally in that role.

The Verdict

Ojo would be a good signing for Reading purely because he's a player that is determined to get into the Liverpool team and he's also someone who needs game time.

With the Royals lacking wingers, it's probably the perfect move for the player as he can guarantee minutes under his belt, and Mark Bowen could give him an important role within the starting XI.

Ojo will hope that a loan move can lift his career over the next season, and make him a better  prospect for the future and help any potential of him getting into the Liverpool team over the  next few years.
