Reading fans are probably still reeling a bit from their 2-2 draw with Cardiff City on Monday night.

On the face of it, it looks like a decent point against a side going for the title but the Royals were so in control during the first half that they should have won the game.

They didn't, though, and so their frustrating season continues as they look at the likes of Cardiff and Wolves challenging at the top of the league.

For one man, then, seeing Wolves up at the top might create a feeling of what might have been with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson but he insists that he has no regrets about leaving for the Royals in the summer.

As quoted by Get Reading, the Icelandic international said when asked if he had any regrets:

"No, not really.

"I didn't even see it [Wolves' success] coming. It's a totally different team from last season to now."

This will at least buoy Reading fans a bit to hear that their player is happy where he is but he and all those connected with the Royals want to see them getting near the top of the league.

Jaap Stam's men need to replicate more of their first half on Monday if they are to do that, then.

The Verdict

Bodvarsson is a real pro and would probably not admit to feeling regret even if he did actually.

He seems like an honest person, though, so he is probably genuinely happy with the Royals and eager to see them improve.
