It's been a week full of action for Reading who have seen plenty of transfer news surrounding their players.

The week started with the shock news that goalkeeper and player of the season Ali Al Habsi looked set to depart from the club, in favour of a move to Saudi Arabia.

His future has yet to be cleared up, with Jaap Stam confirming that there is an offer on the table for the Omani, it is up to him whether he leaves.

Then came news that Chris Gunter was subject to interest from Garry Monk at Middlesbrough. This saga came and went extremely quickly - Gunter had his £1 million release clause activated by Boro, but signed a new three-year-deal with Reading soon after.

Then came the confirmation that midfielder Danny Williams would be joining Huddersfield on a free transfer, a tough one to take for Royals fans who had developed a strong relationship with the explosive American.

With Williams' departure Reading need to find a replacement of his ilk, and they should look towards Royals academy product Aaron Tshibola to succeed his poisiton.

Tshibola left Reading last year to join Aston Villa, but struggled to establish himself in the Villa line up before he was shipped out on loan to Nottingham Forest, where he failed to impress.

But Reading fans know of the 22-year-olds qualities, and perhaps a return to familiar territory would see 'Tish' return to his 2015/16 form.

With his future at Villa Park looking grim, the ex-Hartlepool loanee would benefit from a move back to the Madejski Stadium and may once again become the young star he formerly looked.
