The forward netted seven goals for the club the last time they were in the Premier League and he is attracting interest from Aston Villa, West Brom and Cardiff City.

Reports had suggested that the Royals had slapped a £2.5m price tag on the player’s head, although the Chronicle reports that boss Steve Clarke could now be willing to accept a bid in the region of half the suggested amount.

Robson-Kanu has just one-year left on his current contract and with his wage demands taking up a significant amount of the budget, Reading are prepared to cash in on one of their prized assets.

The Wales international has been a regular for his country and his form has been instrumental to Chris Coleman’s side topping their qualification group ahead of Euro 2016.

The 26-year-old has previously stated that he is unsure where he will play his football next season as of yet.
