Reading are reportedly set to bid for Leicester’s talented young centre-back Liam Moore, according to GetReading.
Leicester City romped to the Premier League title under Claudio Ranieri last season, but with the rock solid centre-back pairing of Robert Huth and Wes Morgan both fixtures of the side, 23-year-old defender Liam Moore found his playing time limited.
Now he is looking for a place to rebuild his career, after being touted for big things as a teenager, and among several Championship clubs, Reading are offering him the chance to play regular Championship football.
Jaap Stam has signalled his intentions of bringing another centre half to the club this summer, to play backup to Jake Cooper and Paul McShane at the heart of the Reading defence, and to battle with academy graduate Rob Dickie for a first team spot.
For now however, it is believed that no concrete bid has been placed by the Royals, and Moore remains a Leicester player.
Reading fans, what do you think to this news? Would you take Liam Moore? Is he the sort of player who could improve your squad? Let us know in the comments!
