Reading are set to complete a deal to sign Swindon Town goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, according to FLW sources.
The keeper has been released from Town and has been linked with a move to arch rivals Reading last week as Adam Federici signed for Bournemouth on a free transfer, after failing to agree a new deal at the Madejski Stadium.
FLW understands that the 24-year-old has also been identified as a target for fellow Championship sides Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest, who have both lost their keepers this season, as Blues stopper Darren Randolph signed for West Ham and Forest keeper Karl Darlow heads for Newcastle after a loan spell back at the City Ground.
Foderingham will possibly favour a move to Reading as it means he won’t have to move house, as he’s lived in the same sort of area his entire career, starting off at Fulham, but eventually moving to Crystal Palace and, after a loan spell, he joined Swindon in 2012.
