Scunthorpe United winger Josh Morris will be targeted by a number of Championship clubs this summer, according to a report by HITC.

The report states that Reading, QPR and Millwall are all interested in signing the player and are prepared to rival a host of League One clubs for his signature.

The 27-year-old has been an important player for Scunthorpe this season, scoring five goals and providing six assists for his teammates in 19 appearances in League One, despite facing two separate spells on the sidelines with injuries.

The winger is out of contract at the end of the season and will be available to clubs on a free transfer, having rejected several contract offers from Scunthorpe.

Morris' goals and assists have not been enough to keep Scunthorpe in League One this season, as the team finished 23rd in the table, four points from safety.

The Verdict:

Morris has been an important player for Scunthorpe over the past few years and has performed well for the team in League One this season.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Morris over the next few weeks, as it looks highly likely that he will depart Scunthorpe in the summer, it is just a case of where he will decide to go.

He could be a good signing for Reading, QPR or Millwall, especially if they can get him on a free transfer.
