Reading, Preston and Hull in transfer chase to seal agreement for 9-goal striker

Hull City have joined Reading and Preston in the chase to sign Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris, the Daily Mail have claimed.

Clarke-Harris has made an instant impact since joining Bristol Rovers from Coventry in the January transfer window, scoring nine goals in just 11 league games for the League One side.

That form has attracted the attention of a number of Championship sides, with The Daily Mail reporting that Hull; Preston and Reading are all interested in the striker.

Despite the form of Clarke-Harris, Bristol Rovers are still one of the long list of sides fighting against relegation from League One, and currently lie 16th in the table, just three points clear of the bottom four with six games of the season remaining.

The verdict

With his form as good as it is at the minute, it is no surprise that Clarke-Harris is attracting interest from above.

The striker has been a big presence since moving to The Memorial Stadium, and summer transfer activity could make him just what any of these Championship clubs are looking for when the window opens in a couple of months time.
