Reading's George Puscas has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce.

The Turkish giants first stated their interest in Puscas back in September but the rumours soon died down. But now it's thought that Fenerbahce could reignite their interest in the forward this month, depending on the outcome of Vedat Muriqi, according to Aksam.

Fenerbahce forward Muriqi is a target of Jose Mourinho's at Tottenham.

The London club had an initial bid rejected for the striker but are said to be lining-up a second attempt to bring him to England, and it's thought that Fenerbahce will try and tempt Puscas to Turkey if Spurs can meet their asking price for Muriqi.

Puscas, 23, joined Reading in the summer from Inter Milan for a fee of £7.2 million - a club-record transfer fee, surpassing the £6.75 million that Reading paid Fulham for Sone Aluko in 2017.

It's been a difficult debut season in England for Puscas though - the Romanian international has six goals in 22 Championship appearances, and has come under a lot of criticism from fans for his 'lax' performances.

The highlight of his season came when he scored a five-minute hat-trick against Wigan in November, but he's not impressed since.

The verdict

Puscas is still a young player and one who could yet come good for Reading. But he came to the club with a heavy price tag on his head and for the money that Reading paid for him, he's not been good enough.

If Reading can make their money back on Puscas then it'd probably be good business. But they need to move quickly if they're considering it, as to give them enough time to find a decent replacement.
