Championship side Reading have made a late move to sign former Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov, according to Mozzart Sport.
Reading came into deadline day with the sole intention of signing a striker, and seem to be closing in on a deal for the Partizan striker after missing out on Gabby Agbonlahor.
A deal is supposedly close with the Royals offering the 30-year-old a £12,000 a week contract with no sign of a fee being mentioned. Cagliari are also interested in the forward.
Bojinov joined Partizan last summer and scored 31 goals in 38 appearances during his first season. It’s not his first time playing in England after joining Manchester City in 2007, but only made 11 appearances in three years at the club.
It’ll complete Jaap Stam’s revolution of the Reading squad, who’ve started the season reasonably well after the hardest start of any other club in the Championship, based on last years finishes.
