It's certainly going to be an interesting January transfer window ahead for Reading FC, with plenty of rumoured incomings and outgoings already in the early stages of this month.

The Royals have been hugely impressive this season under the management of Veljko Paunovic, with Reading currently sat fifth in the Championship table after their opening 23 matches of this year's campaign.

It appears as though this strong start to the new season hasn't gone unnoticed, with a number of clubs registering their interest in some of their key players.

Paunovic and the Madejski Stadium faithful will be eager to see their star men remain at the club for the foreseeable future, although it remains to be seen as to whether that'll be forced out of their hands in the near future.

We take a look at the latest transfer rumours at Reading over the last week.

Omar Richards

Richards has previously been attracting interest from German giants Bayern Munich according to The Telegraph.

The young full-back has made 21 appearances for Reading this season, but is out-of-contract at the end of this year's campaign, which has seen interest in his services.

The Guardian have recently claimed that Richards is set to sign a three-year deal with Bayern Munich, which means that Reading will miss out on any fee if he signs for Hans-Dieter Flick's side.

Michael Olise

Olise has been in hugely impressive form for Reading this season, and it's safe to say that his strong showings for the Berkshire-based side haven't gone unnoticed.

The midfielder has four goals and eight assists to his name from 24 appearances, and is wanted by the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea this month.

The Athletic have previously claimed that Olise has a release clause of £8 million, although it remains to be seen as to whether there is any truth in that report, with no club activating that clause as of yet.

Cohen Bramall

With Omar Richards seemingly edging closer to the exit door at the Madejski Stadium, the Royals are clearly keen to find his replacement in the near future.

Football Insider have recently revealed that Veljko Paunovic's side are eyeing a move for Colchester United defender Cohen Bramall this month.

The full-back has previously been on the books with Arsenal and Birmingham City, and has made 21 appearances in total for Colchester this season.

Pedro Mendes

Mendes has been linked with a move to Reading for a number of months now, but a move could be close this time.

The Sporting Lisbon forward has spent the first-half of this year's campaign on loan with Spanish side Almeria, but has been restricted to just ten appearances for them.

This has resulted in reports emerging that Sporting Lisbon are set to recall him from that loan spell, and send him out to Reading for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
