Championship sides Reading and Preston North End are leading the race to sign Walsall star Tom Bradshaw, according to the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old joined the club from Shrewsbury Town in 2014 for, what now seems to be a bargain, £50,000 and has since scored 34 goals for the League One outfit, helping them towards heir promotion goal.

He's attracting plenty of interest from Championship sides across the division, after scoring 11 goals so far this season.

Reading and Preston are leading the chase for the Welsh international, who is reportedly up for grabs £750,000.

Reading have lost star man Nick Blackman this month to Derby County and are looking to add goals to their game, despite already signing Yann Kermorgant from AFC Bournemouth.

Preston have a distinct lack of goals in their side this season, though their strong defence has kept them hovering above relegation - so signing Bradshaw would seemingly see them score the goals they need to stay afloat.

The Royals currently sit in 13th place in the Sky Bet Championship, whilst Preston sit two places below them in 15th position.
