Reading FC move ahead of Birmingham in race to secure deal for 19-goal striker

Sky Bet Championship duo Reading and Preston North End have moved ahead of Birmingham City in the race to secure the services of Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw, according to the Daily Mail.

The Saddlers hotshot has been in superb form this season, smashing 19 goals to put the West Midlands-based outfit in with a chance of automatic promotion to the second tier, going into the last round of fixtures.

Walsall will be promoted into the Sky Bet Championship if they better Burton Albion’s result this weekend and a large chunk of their form this season must be credited to Bradshaw.

The striker is battling to get into the Wales squad which will travel to France for Euro 2016 this summer, and it looks an impossible task for Walsall to keep hold of their talisman for next season, regardless of which division they might be in.

Both Reading and Preston are keen to ensure they are well stocked in attack next season and the duo look set to press ahead in their attempts to secure the 23-year-old.

Reading and Preston North End fans, would you welcome Bradshaw to your club? Is a striker a priority this summer? Let us know below!
