Reading manager Steve Clarke is being linked with the vacant Fulham job, according to Get West London.

The former West Bromwich Albion manager is on a shortlist for the vacant job at Craven Cottage.

Fulham are yet to appoint a new manager since sacking Kit Symons, and Nigel Pearson was one of the earlier names mentioned - it's now understood Clarke is another option for the London club.

Clarke has obviously impressed the Fulham hierarchy with what he has done with Reading up to now, with the club eighth in the Championship, four points off the play-off places.

With the club's new owners in place and the club seemingly heading in the right direction, it is unlikely Clarke will leave Reading at this point, but Fulham could tempt the former West Bromwich Albion manager if the offer is right.

Clarke is seemingly settled at Reading and the Royals will not want to lose their manager to a league rival.

Clarke has 18 months left on his contract and it is likely he will see that out at least.
