Reading seem to have confirmed the signing of promising youngster Pedro Neves from Everton.

The Brazilian joined Charlton originally at the age of 12 from Brazilian giants, Corinthians, before making the move to Merseyside in 2017.

Neves has posted on his Instagram account a picture of him in the Reading training wear, which all but confirms he has made the move to Berkshire.

Jose Gomes has already gone on the record saying that he could be willing to promote one of the club's youngsters to the first-team squad for their game against Rotherham this weekend.

It seems unlikely that Neves will be the player to be promoted, but he'll be hoping to develop in the club's academy system and could have a bright future ahead of him.

The youngster has represented both Brazil and Portugal at youth level, so he's definitely an exciting prospect to keep an eye on for the future.

Elsewhere, Sone Aluko is reportedly heading for the exit door at the Madejski Stadium, according to Football.London, with Chinese side Beijing Renhe closing in on a deal to sign him before their transfer window closes.

The Verdict

This could be a smart bit of business for the Royals.

Neves must be an exciting talent if he has been on the books of Everton and he could prove to be an excellent signing for the future.
