The Bluebirds have been hit with injuries to forwards Kenwyne Jones and Joe Mason resulting in the club trying to look for additions to bring in.

Hal Robson-Kanu was rumoured to be heading to the Cardiff City Stadium, however any chance of this happening has been ruled out, after the Welshman picked up an injury on international duty, one that is likely to rule him out of action until January.

The deal would have likely to have been popular in Cardiff, having just seen Robson-Kanu become a key figure in Wales’ qualification for Euro 2016.

The forward is lively and direct which would have excited the Cardiff fans, however the club will have to look elsewhere.

Alex Revell and Joe Mason played up front for Cardiff in a 1-0 win yesterday against Middlesbrough, which was played in front of their lowest crowd since 2009, Cardiff have very much gone under the radar having recorded 20 points from their opening 12 games – the Welsh side sit just one point ofd the play-offs.

Cardiff fans, do you need a new striker? Would you have like to have seen Robson-Kanu join the club? Let us know in the comments below!
