Reading FC fans will be keen to see Liverpool midfielder sign up ahead of 2019/2020 campaign

Reading have reportedly submitted a loan offer for Liverpool midfielder, Ovie Ejaria according to journalist, Courtney Friday.

Although the Royals aren’t the only club interested in signing the creative midfielder on loan for the season, the Royals will surely be hoping they have the advantage in winning the race to land his signature.

Ejaria spent the second-half of last season on loan with the Royals, and he played his part as they retained their status as a Championship club for another season.

Without his contribution, you have to feel as though Jose Gomes’ side would have been relegated into League One with the mess that was previously left by Paul Clement.

In terms of statistics, some would have thought that Ejaria struggled to make a notable impact in his time at the Madejski Stadium.

But the young midfielder improved as the season went on and you can see that he is a player that relies on confidence.

He’s a versatile option to have in the Reading squad, as he can operate primarily in the CAM role, as well as out wide, which he can be a defender’s nightmare with his trickery on the ball.

It seems highly unlikely that Ejaria will be able to force his way into Liverpool’s first-team and it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him potentially moving elsewhere permanently in the next few years.

But for now, he’ll be wanting to have his short-term future resolved at the earliest of opportunities, and Reading will certainly be amongst the frontrunners to sign him up again this season.

He made himself a fans favourite at the Madejski Stadium and there is no doubt in saying that Royals supporters will be keen to see him return to the club next season.

The Royals might be struggling with FFP restrictions, but given that Ejaria is seemingly within their wage budget, supporters will be keeping their fingers crossed that they can fend off interest from other sides to sign him.
