Reading FC could look to secure deal for midfielder in region of €6 million

Reading FC could look to re-sign Benfica loanee Ola John for a fee in the region of around €6 million, according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo via Sport Witness.

The Dutch winger impressed many Reading fans last season after he was signed on loan in the summer of 2015 by Steve Clarke from Benfica.

At just 23 years of age, John clearly has a lot of potential to fill, and is definitely the calibre of player the Royals should be looking to sign if they are to win promotion back to the promised land of the Premier League, which is worth betting on with this code.

Whilst some concerns were raised about his fitness during his time at the ‘Mad Stad’, it was clear to see that he was a game-changing player with the ability to produce a spark of magic out of nowhere, especially off the bench, as he showed with a screamer away at Bolton in the 90th minute to secure a 1-0 win.

However, the €6 million asking price could prove too big of a sum for the Thai owners, and they will be much more reluctant to spend big after wasting money in the summer on Orlando Sa and Matej Vydra.

Reading FC fans….. Would you like to see Ola John back at the club? Is he good enough? Let us know your thoughts and opinions below!
