Reading FC manager Steve Clarke has praised the Royals fans and has encouraged the fan base to continue to back his team.
Speaking to the club’s official site, Clarke feels the whole club has been lifted from the summer after a season of ”doom and gloom” last season.
The former West Bromwich Albion manager added that, ”We have a team now that looks like it can be quite exciting”.
The Royals have started terrifically in the Sky Bet Championship so far taking 15 points from nine games and currently sitting third in the league, meaning there is reason for optimism at the Madejski Stadium.
However, with a long way to go in the current campaign, Clarke wants to make the Madejski a fortress and a difficult place to go for opponents this season.
He has stated the worth of good home support insisting ”Fans can be worth a goal”.
Steve Clarke’s Reading face a tough test in their next Sky Bet Championship fixture, when they take on high-flying Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The Royals have won four out of their previous five league games, and a win against Boro will no doubt make them one of the standout favourites to win promotion to the Premier League this season.
