Reading and Bristol City are among a host of Championship clubs that are keen on signing Forest Green Rovers midfielder Reece Brown in the summer.
The 23-year-old has been one of the outstanding performers in League Two this season, contributing ten goals and 14 assists from midfield for Mark Cooper’s side.
However, they face a real battle to keep hold of their star man as his contract is up at the end of the season.
And, the Sky Sports Transfer Centre (13:20) has revealed that the Royals and the Robins are both interested in the player, along with other sides from the second-tier.
Brown came through the ranks at Birmingham City and actually made 20 appearances over a few years at St. Andrew’s but he left in 2017 on a permanent basis to get regular first-team football.
It’s a decision that has paid off, with the midfielder impressing this season and he will hope that he can end the season on a high with his current club.
Rovers are sixth at the moment and seem nailed on for a play-off place come May.
Brown was always going to attract attention from clubs higher up the Football League when you look at how he has performed this season.
His goals and assists return is fantastic and on a free transfer you can see why Championship clubs are taking an interest.
It’s an important move for the player at this stage of his career and it appears he will have a big decision to make in the summer.
