Manchester United have recently expressed an interest in signing young Reading star Danny Loader.

The striker has been part of the Reading setup since he was a young teenager and that has seen him move through the ranks at the Royals, earning him his first appearance at just 16-years-of-age.

He has been capped by every England age group from under-16 to under-20 and is tipped to have a bright future ahead of himself.

Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers tried to buy the forward at the end of the summer transfer window and they were so close to doing a deal with Reading that Loader was actually at the training ground doing a medical before the Royals pulled the plug on the transfer at the last minute.

Speculation is starting to hot up again, as Loader is out of contract in the summer, and appears not to be looking to sign a new deal. It looks like the Royals are going to have to try and cash in on the forward in January.

With a club such as Manchester United interested, fans will be happy that they might see some money coming their way for the youngster.

Loader has scored just once in his 29 appearances for the senior side, and from what supporters have seen so far from the player, it doesn't look like many will value it as a big miss - especially not for the current matchday squad.

Obviously, in three to four years he may have improved significantly, but at the end of the day if he doesn't want to sign a new contract then there's no point in forcing him to and the Royals should cash in on him.

Royals fans will hope that the club can use the money to not necessarily sign a replacement but to bolster the first team as they look to carry on this impressive run of results under Mark Bowen.
