Reading have had a rather inconsistent start to the season so far, although under new manager Mark Bowen the Royals remain unbeaten.

There has been plenty of changes at Reading over the last few seasons, and one of them comes in implementing some of the younger academy players.

Tom McIntyre, Andy Rinomhota, Danny Loader and Michael Olise are just a few of the recent players who have been featured in the squad over the last season.

One player who has been on the periphery of things is youngster Gabriel Osho. He actually made his first start for the senior team back in December of last season against Middlesbrough.

He was fantastic throughout, but when new boss Jose Gomes came in, he wasn't seen as part of the senior squad's plans and he was sent out on loan to Bristol Rovers. That move didn't work out well, and now he's back in the under-23 squad at Reading.

The youngster has a great opportunity ahead of him in his career, but obviously there's still a long way to go and recently he's been linked with another League one club, this time it's Ipswich Town.

Osho has had a trial with the club, but it's yet to be seen what the outcome will be after he played for the Ipswich under-23 side.

It's also not confirmed yet as to whether the move will be a loan or permanent signing for the Tractor Boys, although it's likely to be a loan move due to how highly-rated the youngster is by Reading and their supporters.

Royals fans are wanting him to go out and get the relevant experience, but will hoping that he can come back to the Berkshire club a better player so Bowen can incorporate another youth player in his side that can make the supporters proud.

It's a massive chance for Osho, especially after the loan move that didn't work out last season. If he does move permanently then it could be seen as a positive step for his career, and one that he needs in order to be playing football.

There's a lot of potential, so Reading fans will want him to stay around in the long-term, but sometimes you have to do what is best for the player, and this time around that might not be to stay at the Royals.
