Reading have struggled so far this season and now sit just one place outside of the relegation zone as they've found victory in just two of their opening ten Championship fixtures.

Jose Gomes' side will look to bounce back when they face Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday. It will be an interesting game and one that could be pivotal for the future of Gomes at Reading.

One of the struggles that the Royals face is their inability to finish their chances. Often, the games are 50/50 and the strikers have the opportunities to make a difference but it just doesn't materialise and that needs to change and very soon.

The forward that has been under the most pressure is Romanian George Puscas, who hasn't looked like he's been at his best since arriving from Inter Milan over the summer.

The striker has scored two goals in the Championship and they both came in the same game when the Royals smashed Cardiff 3-0. However, since then it has gone rather downhill for the 23-year-old and his confidence looks shot to pieces.

Puscas needs to reignite his start to life at Reading and try to improve on what has been a very poor couple of weeks for the forward. He's missed some great opportunities against Swansea, Middlesbrough and Charlton but will want to rectify that when they play Bristol City on the weekend.

The fans have to stick with him, especially after the owner and manager has put faith in the striker. It's vital that he must remain calm in front of goal and make sure that he can put the ball in the back of the net when he next gets a chance.

Puscas has been really good in terms of being able to get in the right positions in pretty much every game that he's played in but now he has to start taking some of the chances. It'll be interesting to see what will happen if he fails to score at Bristol City and whether his future place in the side will be up for grabs after the international break.

The supporters at Reading have to keep supporting him and in time he'll get better. It looks bleak at this current point of time, but if he can get one then a bucketful may just follow.
