Nigel Adkins is looking to increase his attacking options by signing two strikers before deadline day, with Russian Pavel Pogrebnyak Adkins’ only experienced option up front.

The Sun suggests a fee of £3 million will bring Glenn Murray to the Madejski Stadium whilst the Mirror says Simon Cox is available for a mere £600, 000.

30-year-old Murray scored 31 goals in the 2012/2013 Championship campaign and has has an excellent pre-season with Crystal Palace last season.

Cox came through the Reading academy before joining Swindon Town in 2007. He soon joined West Brom and joined Nottingham Forest in 2012.
